At Brio Leisure we’re all about getting people fit, and now we’re looking for a new Gym Instructor who shares our passion for healthy living!

A customer’s first experience of the gym with us is in their Welcome Workout, so you’ll be leading these and making sure they come away with knowledge to use the gym safely and effectively. You’ll also work with customers on a 1:1 basis on our Member Journey programme to help understand their goals and devise them a routine that will help them get the desired results. It’s a really rewarding role and you’ll be able to see the results of your work as our customers take your advice and reach their goals!

Other duties include introducing new exercise sessions and classes to the gym, keeping the gym clean and tidy and ensuring the gym is a place that customers feel comfortable to work out in.

As you’ll be working with the customers regularly, you’ll need to be friendly and understanding but also confident in your knowledge of health and fitness. Your enthusiasm will inspire our customers and keep them motivated on their fitness journey!

To be our new Gym Instructor, you’ll need:

  • A recognised health & fitness gym instructor qualification at NVQ level 2
  • Experience of health & fitness instruction to individuals and groups, as well as of working in a gym
  • Loads of knowledge on healthy living, exercise and even nutrition!

Rewards and benefits:

  • Enjoy 25 days of annual leave per year, which increases to 30 days after 5 years of continuous service.
  • Free Brio Leisure gym membership allowing you to use our gym, fitness and swim facilities.
  • Explore exclusive discounts through the 'Brio Staff Shop' benefits platform, spanning a variety of retail shops, travel, cinema tickets, and more.
  • Free uniform & DBS check (if required)
  • Reimbursement for car mileage at 0.45p per mile and bicycle mileage at 0.20p per mile.
  • Benefit from enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • Favourable pension scheme
  • Access the Employee Assistance Programme for free, providing confidential 24/7 support for various personal matters, from debt management to assistance for new parents.
  • Contribute to your local community with three paid volunteering days per year – because we believe everyone should play a part in making a positive impact to the community.
  • Enjoy discounts on food and drink at our on-site café during working hours.
