Renewals Manager

The Role

The Renewal Manager (RM) role is a highly visible, strategic position to drive and assist our business with its annuity-based revenue.

You will be responsible for owning and executing renewals on a portfolio of renewable software, services and subscriptions across an assigned set of customer accounts. RM's work with customers, Sales, CX, Contracts Admin, Vendor Management and Vendors to develop a holistic, deep view of a customer’s install and service base to drive renewals to on-time closure, as well as minimize renewals risk and financial attrition.

You will be a provider of information as well as a subject matter expert across all renewable items in a customer base.

You will bring strong knowledge of the tools available to drive insights into renewals and orchestrate cross-functional resources across the company and with partners to provide a unified path to secure every renewal.

What you will be doing?

Key responsibilities and activities include

  • Own insight into a customer’s renewal base and the associated status as appropriate
  • Drive company renewal rates to meet and exceed targets
  • Assist in the creation and update of renewal quotes and orders, including direct engagement with customers as appropriate
  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to maximise contract value
  • Act as a conduit between Account Teams, CX and Contracts Administration to ensure the smooth processing of renewals
  • Provide detailed management information around renewal status and programs
  • Use Internal (Autotask) and Vendor (TPV, CCW, CCW-R etc) tools to ensure customer install bases are fully understood and addressed
  • Educate both internally and externally the benefits of a good renewals practice, advising on risks for late or non-renewals
  • Work with sales teams, CX and Contracts Admin to drive renewal rates to exceed company targets
  • Supports Account Manager in negotiations to drive integrity of the renewable portion of any agreement

What is needed?

  • Understanding of service/subscription renewal cycles
  • Understanding of vendor toolsets to drive renewals
  • The ability to understand and interrogate large data sets
  • A focus on quality
  • A willingness to drive and own customer renewals
  • Cisco Renewals Manager Certification

Desired

  • An understanding of vendor Customer Experience programs and methodologies
  • A degree in Business Management or extensive commercial experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or better in Business Management or related subject
