Renewals Specialist

The Role

As a Renewal Specialist (RS) you will play a key role in our wider renewals’ strategy.

Focused on a broad range of assigned low-touch customers, you will be responsible for owning and executing renewals across a portfolio of renewable software, services and subscriptions.

You will partner with the Sales teams to deliver the renewals motion on a like-for-like basis. Tasks undertaken within this motion involve deal creation, consolidating Install Base information, generating quotes for sales to issue and keeping renewals data up to date. You will also work closely with Sales to obtain status information of all open orders as well as obtain information on why any quotes were unsuccessful. As the role develops, you will be involved in administration of semi-automated approaches to achieving tactical renewals.

You will have a strong knowledge of the vendor tools available (primarily Cisco) to drive insights and the administration of the renewal process. Additionally, you will assist in orchestrating cross-functional resources across the company and with partners to provide a unified path to secure every renewal.

What you will be doing?

Key responsibilities and activities include:

  • Own insight into a customer’s renewal base and the associated status as appropriate
  • Drive company renewal rates to meet and exceed targets (which will involve working with key stakeholders)
  • Assist in the creation and update of renewal quotes and orders
  • Owns renewal quote creation, internal and vendor engagements and on-time closure providing maximum value for customers
  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to deliver an optimised proposal for the customer
  • Act as a conduit between key stakeholders, including Account Teams, Customer Experience and Contracts Administration, to ensure the smooth processing of renewals
  • Use Internal (Autotask) and Vendor (TPV, CCW, CCW-R etc) tools to ensure customer install bases are fully understood and addressed

What is needed?

  • Understanding of service/subscription/software renewal cycles
  • Understanding of Cisco toolsets to drive renewals including quote/order creation
  • The ability to understand and interrogate large data sets
  • A focus on quality
  • A willingness to drive and own customer renewals
  • Analytical and data skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cisco Smart Accounts

Desired

  • An understanding of vendor Customer Experience programs and methodologies
  • Understanding of other key vendor toolsets to drive renewals (including Dell/Microsoft)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or better in Business Management or related subject
