Spa Operations Manager

Aqua Sana Forest Spa is an award-winning spa offering a combination of experiences, products and treatments. Each spa – one at each Center Parcs location – is uniquely designed, with up to 25 spa experience rooms to explore. There is also an extensive range of face and body treatments available to book, carried out by expert therapists using products from the finest product houses including Elemis, Comfort Zone and VOYA.

Aqua Sana Forest Spa is extremely popular and is accessible to both guests staying on the Village as a Center Parcs guest, and external guests who visit Aqua Sana Forest Spa during Spa Days and Spa Breaks.

SPA OPERATIONS MANAGER | Circa €55,000 per annum plus 12% Bonus Scheme

As the Spa Operations Manager, you will support the Aqua Sana Forest Spa General Manager, leading teams across Treatments, Service, Experience and Training. Working closely with the Vitalé Café Bar Manager and key village stakeholders, you will ensure a seamless and high-quality guest experience.

You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the spa, providing leadership and direction to deliver a consistently high level of service. Responsibilities include health and safety compliance, departmental maintenance and service consistency. Additionally, you will manage the spa retail strategy and deputise in the General Manager’s absence.

You will support with facilitating and developing a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Sociably confident with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, develop and lead a team
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong eye for presentation, detail and operational standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Previous experience of working within a similar role in the Beauty / Spa / Hospitality industry
  • Previous experience with a Spa / Leisure booking system
  • Previous experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Experience in people management and leading a large team (30+ team members)
  • Previous retail management experience
  • General standard of education
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritise and organise daily tasks
  • Excellent time management skills and use own initiative and teamwork
  • Good understanding of the Spa industry, treatments and retail

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous financial management experience
  • Beauty Therapy Level 5 Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Beauty Therapy Level 6 Qualification (or equivalent)
