Every year our villages fall under a captivating spell and transform into an enchanting Winter Wonderland. With twinkling lights, glittering decorations and Santa’s Woodland Workshop, the forest comes alive with the anticipation of Christmas.

SANTA’S ELVES / SEASONAL CHARACTERS | £11.60 per hour

Becoming one of Santa’s Elves is a truly magical task. It’s not just about helping children feel at ease with the wonderful experience of seeing Santa, it’s about keeping the spirit of Christmas alive which means good will, fantastic customer service and always looking for an opportunity to make people smile.

The role is as diverse as it is magical, our Elves / Seasonal Characters play a key role in delivering lots of seasonal activities, so you could be meeting and greeting in Santa’s Woodland Workshop, entertaining our guests with elfish antics in the Winter Wonderland village or supporting events such as Santas Greetings, Brunch with Santa and much more.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

HOURS OF WORK

Please note this is a fixed-term contract until 24th December 2024.

We have various full and part-time contracts available with a variety of shift patterns. Flexibility will be required as our village is open 365 days of the year, so you may need to be able to work some evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

(Some contracts may be available until the end of February to support our Winter Forest Lights experience)

We're seeking individuals who love the festive season and can bring that joy and enthusiasm to our guests.

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Naturally outgoing and enthusiastic with a friendly and approachable attitude
  • Naturally cheerful
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and build a rapport with both children and adults
  • Enthusiasm for the Christmas / Seasonal spirit

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience in amateur dramatics or acting
  • Previous experience working as an Elf would be an advantage
