Housekeeper Team Leader - Training

Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 700 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. HOUSEKEEPER TEAM LEADER - TRAINING | £13.13 per hour

Our Housekeeping team is the largest department in Whinfell Forest, with various operating divisions. To keep it ticking over smoothly, we have to make sure we adhere to our own company guidelines and standards, as well as legal requirements at all times. And as a Training Supervisor for Housekeeping, you’ll be the person to make it happen.

From carrying out induction training with new starters, through to overseeing the work of our team member coaches - sharing your experience of exemplary housekeeping, hospitality or cleaning is very much the heart of the role. You’ll also have some supervisory responsibility for holiday approvals and rotas.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Training of staff in liaison with Housekeeping Managers
  • Carrying out departmental Induction Training
  • Organising and documenting legal training in line with company requirements
  • Carry out corrective training as required
  • Ensuring that training records / logbooks are completed and kept up-to-date
  • Assisting with the recruitment process of Housekeeping colleagues

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 120 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts are generally Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm. 

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Good communication / organisational skills
  • Good general level of education
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous supervisory / training experience within a hotel, cleaning or service industry

Desirable requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in Group Trainer Training, On Job Training and Advanced Health and Safety
