The Activity Den caters for ages ranging from 0-11 years, offering a range of energetic and creative activities in a regulated, safe and happy environment. One day you could be donning a pirate patch, and on another you could be hosting a superhero party. CHILDCARE PRACTITIONER | £12.46 per hour
This is a fixed-term role until 3rd July 2025
Our Activity Den is incredibly popular with guests and their children, and you’ll help to create a brilliant, fun-filled and stimulating environment, ensuring the children have a good time at all times, whilst keeping an eye on safety and learning in the setting.
As you can imagine, even though this is a leisure setting, we still have to make sure we adhere to industry rules and regulations, so completing paperwork will be an essential requirement of the role.
You’ll be someone who is naturally cheerful, friendly and approachable, and who works well in a team environment. Building relationships and trust with parents is just as important as being able to communicate with children.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. Working alternate weekends, hours of work will be between 8am-8pm. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
