CAD TECHNICIAN

£33,200 per annum

Hybrid role with both office and home-working plus occasional travel

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Development team as CAD Technician.

In this role, you will support with preparing and maintaining drawing records for the delivery of Projects and Asset Management.  You will support the Development team who are responsible for the design and delivery of an allocated portfolio of capital projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget, to the relevant timescales and according to operational requirements.

The successful candidate will be the custodian of CAD standards, drawing records and best practices.  City & Guilds qualified to Level 3 CAD, you will be proficient in the use of AutoCad in the preparation of drawings.  You will also have a good knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards and must also be conversant with CDM regulations.

Due to the nature of this role, occasional business travel will be required.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.

Please note, this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based and home-working plus occasional travel.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 CAD Qualified
  • Must have good knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards
  • Proficient at AutoCad in the preparation of drawings
  • Must be conversant with CDM regulations
  • Ability to work accurately to ensure technical information to clear and understandable
  • Substantial post qualification experience
  • Experience of maintaining record drawings
  • Eager to learn and develop
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of working in the construction industry
