Assistant Security Manager

From initial greeting through to departure our professionally trained security team are here to help. They control access to the Village, assist with emergencies and ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay.

We hope our guests never need them, but knowing we have a Security team on call all year-round provides peace of mind and reassurance.

ASSISTANT SECURITY MANAGER | Circa €36,600 per annum

Reporting to the Security Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day to day operation of the Village Security team. Managing a team of Security Officers, you will provide security for the village and its guests, ensuring that everyone is greeted in a friendly and professional manner.

Your team will be the initial contact for our guests, work colleagues and contractors so excellent communication skills will be required. Other responsibilities include managing village access, vehicle checks, security foot and mobile patrols of all areas of the village and perimeter, dealing with security related incidents, ensuring thorough and robust investigations are carried out and being a first aid response.

You will support with facilitating and developing a culture that promotes and encourages the general wellbeing, motivation, and morale of your team, whilst ensuring effective performance management strategies are in place and your team are actively contributing towards this.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 168 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Sociable confident with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support, develop and challenge a team
  • Ability to perform under pressure, prioritise workload and make decisions in a calm and considered manner
  • Computer literate
  • Friendly, genuine, and warm towards colleagues and guests
  • Current Full Driver’s License
  • A Garda Vetting Licence, Private Security Authority Licence (to include Door Supervisor and Static Guard) and First Aid qualification (full training will be provided if required)
  • First Aid at work certificate or willing to undertake training

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous Security experience
  • Previous experience of leading a team in a Security or Hospitality environment
