Every year our villages fall under a captivating spell and transform into an enchanting Winter Wonderland. With twinkling lights, glittering decorations and Santa’s Woodland Workshop, the forest comes alive with the anticipation of Christmas.

TEAM LEADER / HEAD ELF | £14.01 per hour

Please note this is a fixed-term contract from 26th September 2025 until 15th January 2026

Becoming one of Santa’s Elves is a truly magical task. It’s not just about helping children feel at ease with the wonderful experience of seeing Santa, it’s about keeping the spirit of Christmas alive which means good will, fantastic customer service and making people smile – whatever their query or request.

As a Team Leader / Head Elf you will be responsible for the daily management of colleagues, ensuring that all shifts are manned appropriately in accordance with rota requirements. You will ensure that each guest receives excellent care at all times in line with the guest service journey, and that high standards are adhered to throughout the Woodland Workshop. You will also support with the organisation of our ‘Explorer Elves’ who will be out and about on the village supporting various seasonal events.

You will control access into the Woodland Workshop area, ensuring visits run punctually, there is always sufficient stock of toys and all children receive a photo. You will also support with the training and coaching of all colleagues and may be required to deputise in the absence of the Leisure Activities Assistant Manager.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

HOURS OF WORK

Please note this is a fixed-term contract from 26th September 2025 until 15th January 2026

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis - working 5 days out of 7 with the hours of work falling between 8am-9pm. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

Essential requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer care skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Computer literacy
  • Previous experience working in a customer care environment
  • Previous supervisory experience in a demanding environment
  • Outgoing with a friendly and approachable attitude
  • Enthusiasm for the Christmas / Seasonal spirit

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous acting / entertainment experience
