Events and External Engagement Officer
Location: Covent Garden, London
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Events and External Engagement Officer to join our busy External Engagements team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation and management of City Lit’s key stakeholder and flagship events, helping to raise our profile and reach a broader audience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in an exciting range of diverse events, including festivals, fellow events, awards and conferences. You will produce proposals, collaborate with colleagues from our Marketing team on promotional materials and media content, arrange venues and suppliers and support with all aspects of running a successful and professional programme of events.

- Considerable experience in events organisation. A business or event management qualification is desirable.
- Can communicate professionally and effectively.
- Can prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Have worked in or understand a customer-focused organisation.
- Can work confidentially as required by Data Protection legislation
- Can take the initiative to get things done.
- Are flexible and open to and adapt to new ideas.
