Classical Ballet Tutors

Location: Covent Garden, London

Salary: £38.72 per hour inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time.

Hours of work: Tuesday daytimes during term-time, starting January 2026

About the role

We are looking for classical ballet teachers to join our faculty. Applicants should have reached a high level of dance training with a recognised teacher or at a dance college and ideally a Silver Swans Licensee or with a view to becoming a Silver Swans Licensee. The successful candidate will plan, teach and evaluate courses, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond and to enrich lives through learning.

You’ll be a contributor to our thriving School of Performing Arts. Classical Ballet and Silver Swans courses form part of an exciting provision of dance courses which range from Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap and Ballroom to Swing and Burlesque.

  • Relevant training and experience teaching Classical Ballet, including Silver Swans
  • Relevant training and experience of teaching pointe work
  • Experience of teaching dance to adults and understanding of how to assess and track progress and support students to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Enthusiasm for dance that can inspire and attract students.
