About the role

We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Senior Associate with a desire to gain exposure to a varied portfolio of high-profile pension fund clients, whilst developing their career in a supportive, yet progressive environment. You'll be joining a talented specialist team committed to delivering best-in-class audit and assurance services, adding value to the trustee governance of the schemes they manage, whilst honing your skills as a leader of the future.

Some of the main responsibilities you might expect in the position include:

  • Supervising and undertaking statutory audits and being involved in all stages of the audit process from planning to completion;
  • Delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines;
  • Alongside other Senior Associates, reporting to Managers, Senior Managers and Directors on Audit and Assurance assignments;
  • Undertaking pensions assurance projects – liaising with clients and preparing client reports;
  • Carrying out work efficiently and on a timely basis, in accordance with the firm's professional standards and to the satisfaction of our clients;
  • Supporting the team in delivering a quality audit service and providing insightful comments to report to the client;
  • Contributing to a continuous improvement ethos for the team.

The technical skills, experience and background we’d expect to see from candidates suitable for this opportunity include:

  • Have obtained, or be in the final stages of, a professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA);
  • Technically strong with a good understanding of auditing pension schemes and the pensions SORP;
  • Good working knowledge of relevant pensions regulations;
  • Ability to support and mentor team members;
  • An exceptional team player, juggling several clients with conflicting demands;
  • Effectively support audit managers and senior managers by taking ownership of work and ensuring it fulfils audit objectives and quality standards.
