Overview of Role
Do you have a passion for helping others and want a role where your support truly changes lives? Join Dale Care as a Reablement Care Worker, supporting individuals across County Durham as they regain independence after illness, injury, or hospital discharge. Your quick response, compassion, and problem‑solving skills will bring comfort, confidence, and dignity to people in your community.
Reablement carers are trained professionals who support individuals to regain independence and daily living skills after illness, injury, or hospital discharge.
Reablement carers focus on helping people do things for themselves rather than doing tasks on their behalf. They support individuals in activities such as cooking, washing, dressing, moving around the home and participating in social activities using a “doing with” approach that encourages autonomy and confidence.
Their work is typically short-term, intensive and goal focused often lasting up to six weeks although the duration may vary depending on the person’s progress.
What We Are Looking For
- Travel Requirements: This is a community-based role, so a full UK driving licence, your own car, and business insurance are essential.
- Right to Work: You must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship currently.
- Ability to work AM/PM shifts and alternate weekends
- Good English communication skills
