The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to lead, manage, and strategically plan all capital works projects within the organisation. It involves overseeing the full project lifecycle—from inception to completion—while working closely with contractors, internal customers, external consultants, and key stakeholders. The role requires a strong focus on collaboration, clear communication, and meticulous coordination to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. A critical aspect of the position is ensuring full compliance with statutory, financial, procurement, and legislative requirements, making it ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in capital project delivery and regulatory governance.

About you
You are a highly organised and proactive professional with a strong background in construction and facilities management. With the ability to write clear, concise specifications for minor works and manage multiple projects ranging from £10K to £500K, you bring excellent multitasking and teamwork skills to every project. Your knowledge of current construction practices, legislation, and public sector procurement rules ensures compliance and high-quality delivery. You have experience in risk management within construction environments and understand the importance of safeguarding procedures.
