Join our dynamic team at Derby College Group as a Sessional Internal Quality Assurance Lead in our Health and Social Care and Early Years department. This role is a hybrid role, working from home and our Roundhouse Campus.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the quality and integrity of qualifications delivered within the Academys. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) process across all levels of study, ensuring consistent compliance with the standards and expectations of both Awarding Organisations and Derby College Group (DCG). In addition to maintaining high-quality assurance standards, the role involves providing guidance and support to assessors, trainers, and teachers to foster excellence in delivery and continuous improvement across the curriculum.

About You
You’ll be a highly organised and motivated individual with a solid understanding of IQA and EQA processes, curriculum design, and qualification frameworks. With strong interpersonal and communication skills, you’ll be confident in supporting and mentoring delivery staff to maintain high standards. You’ll bring excellent planning, IT, and cloud-based working skills, alongside relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care and quality assurance. Experience with Awarding Organisations like Pearson or NCFE and ePortfolio systems would be an advantage.
