Role Specification 

Working with and alongside the day to day account management team and supporting the field-based Facilities supplies category team, your role will be to develop relationships with people who procure facilities supplies for their organizations.

You will lead generate for the field team, manage blitz days, create and maintain facilities supplies tender date book, increase turnover and profit by selling more FS products to our existing customers, support the facilities help desk, raise awareness of new products with customers and follow up all bmail campaigns. 

Summary of Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prioritise sales activities and customers/prospects, ensuring that personal time and productivity are managed.
  • Plan and manage own client base.
  • Process sales orders and manage any associated enquiries.
  • Retain and develop existing customer relationship, including continuously cross and up selling all aspects of the Group portfolio.
  • Generate new business through appropriate proposition, ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  • Negotiation of prices and involvement in quotation preparation when required.
  • Liaise and attend meetings as necessary in order to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
  • Promote Group products and services to full potential.
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
  • Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies.

Person Specification  

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE 

Essential                

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or higher (or equivalent)
  • Previous sales experience is either in a field/telesales environment. 

SKILLS/ ABILITIES 

Essential             

  • An ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills all levels.
  • Computer literate with skills in MS Office.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • The ability to multitask, be organised, agree priorities and meet deadlines  

Desirable

  • Industry experience desirable but not essential.
