Banner Specials Advisor

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

This position involves dealing with the Banner sales community with their requests for non-stocked items, utilising experience, vendor information & appropriate business tools to ensure profitable sales.

Summary of Role Responsibilities: 

  • Sourcing and pricing ‘non-stocked’ products for the sales team and customer community and creating details on the SOP system
  • Extensive engagement with internal and external sales departments and suppliers to support the ‘product sourcing’ process.
  • Take every opportunity to develop product and market knowledge
  • Ensure that all data requirements are followed through correctly on the group’s systems and that accuracy is maintained at all times
  • Work to team key performance indicators including conversion rate targets and turnaround service level times
  • Resolve supplier and product specific queries from internal and external sources.
  • As directed by management

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE 

Essential

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or higher (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint 

Desirable

  • Experience within a similar product sourcing position, office products buying, customer service role or sales experience is desirable. 

SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • Good product and market knowledge
  • An understanding of the end to end sales process
  • Ability to work to deadlines & targets
  • A professional and friendly telephone manner
