VOW has an opportunity for an Internal Account Manager to look after some of our smaller accounts in the United Kingdom. Reporting to the Sales Manager, based from our Normanton office, you will manage a range of customers that require a telesales approach.
This is an internal role, however there is a potential for travel to participate in training days and VOW customer events where required, and to visit the customers where the opportunity is great, and the ROI is clearly to our mutual advantage.
These smaller accounts do not need the field coverage but have potential. They are hugely demanding and need constant daily contact. They typically require day to day contact and support, so an office-based person is better suited to manage and develop these customers.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to; working toward individual sales targets, gap analysis, working closely with key target customers to ensure that the VOW strategy and future plans are clearly outlined and matched to their business plans, agreeing clear objectives and tactics to achieve margin growth for both customer and VOW, developing weekly/quarterly marketing plans with the customer, effectively monitor customers, developing sales in facility supplies, excusive ranges and new product sectors, selling VOW publications and mailers and providing training on relevant portals and webstores and identify areas for growth and work in harmony with the OEM’s to push new product ranges and become an expert in selling their new and key lines.
The Internal Account Manager will work with internal colleagues associated to the day to day running of customers, set up effective communication channels that will ensure that customers are aware of what is happening in the business and fully understand and utilise the full library of services offered by VOW to grow the customers profitability. The Internal Account Manager haver the determination to achieve budgets and develop the region and ensure a proactive plan is in place daily to achieve KPI’s while working closely with target customers to achieve the overall mutual business objectives for the year.
The Internal Account Manager will be precise and have the ability to multitask and prioritize, be happy to engage in tough conversations, with deep values and integrity, be able to plan effectively, take the lead and delegate accordingly with excellent negotiation and questioning skills.
Suitable candidates will be passionate and have experience within the Office Products, Managed Print or Facility Supplies industry with a proven track record of Account Management and Customer Service excellence and able to demonstrate new business wins.
Desirable traits are: experience of working within a proactive telesales team, field sales or creative marketing team, brand design and implementation, exposure to business to business social media projects, understanding of business planning techniques, understanding of end to end sales process, functionality and benefits of web stores, proficiency in industry back office systems such as Preima, ECI, Oasis and Pulse.
