Role Specification

Role Objective:

The Xerox Business Development Manager will help define and implement the Xerox Range across the VOW Wholesale business. In conjunction with the VOW Sales Team they action a defined sales plan for Xerox and the wider portfolio to existing and new UK & Ireland customers.

Collaboration and proposition with Xerox to educate dealers and drive sales through the channel to the end consumer via product training, marketing collateral and focussed product promotions. and sales with progress tracking and performance to make sure targets agreed, recorded and concluded. Adding value at all levels through the chain will determine success.

Communicate real time feedback on what dealers want, need and what are the opportunity areas and possible solutions. What is the dealers print strategy? Support dealers collaboratively rather than be product provider. Ask the right questions which leads to proactive discussions utilising all marketing assets and opening new doors.

Summary of Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the sale, marketing and promotion of Xerox
  • Clearly outline the Xerox value proposition to the UK & Ireland reseller market 
  • Enhance coverage of the sale of Xerox consumables across UK & Ireland
  • Achieve monthly targets
  • Driving sales growth and margin
  • Training to Dealers and Sales staff
  • Blitz days & supporting campaigns
  • Highlight end user opportunities
  • Close link to the Xerox team
  • Pricing and price file management
  • Attending days or nights at certain events of exhibitions
  • Work towards jointly agreed KPI’s

Person Specification



  • Have a proven track record of Account Management
  • Have a good understanding of the internet and social media to maximize online sales
  • Be able to use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint at an intermediate /advanced level / CRM
  • Have a good understanding of the end to end sales process including pricing, operations and how they relate to, and impact true profitability
  • Have knowledge and/or experience in marketing and brand design, building marketing plans and working with key OEM's to promote sales growth and product proliferation.


  • An understand of the Remanufactured / First to Market printer supplies market
  • Industry experience



  • Be a confident communicator, able to handle difficult conversations and ask challenging questions
  • Be able to plan effectively
  • Have the ability to use various business planning techniques
  • Have excellent negotiation and influencing skills
