Internal Account Manager

VOW Retail currently have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Account Manager to join our Normanton based team on a full time permanent contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing the number of ordering accounts and over-achieving sales through making pro-active sales calls to existing and new business accounts, whilst simultaneously delivering a high level of service to our customers in order to develop a long-term business relationship. You will optimise sales across the convenience sector on Stationery and Packaging products for re-sale to customers. The role has a basic salary of £17-21,000 plus commission and other benefits including a great holiday scheme.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pro-actively developing business levels effectively through daily telephone activity
  • Identifying new business opportunities at all times and prospecting for new business everyday through telesales activity
  • Build relationships with key retailers to facilitate increased business
  • Increasing the number of decision-maker contacts in each account as necessary
  • Provide advice and expertise to retailers regarding VOW Retail range and in store solutions
  • Understanding and fully utilising sales tools provided by the business in order to maximise the full potential spend of each customer
  • Pro-actively link sell to increase the product range sold into each account
  • Ensuring all computerised customer records are kept up to date
  • Manage and resolve conflicts with customers in partnership with our Customer Services team
  • Following and achieving weekly and monthly objectives as set by Line Management
  • Help retailers to implement planogram displays that will maximise sales

 

We are looking for individuals with experience within telesales/account management who have strong MS Office skills, especially with Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a desire to learn and a self-driven, positive, lively and friendly disposition are also key to be successful in this role.
