Full Training will be provided

Based at our site in Normanton, this position involves managing the gatehouse, accurately booking vehicles in and out, searching vehicles and personnel.

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for reacting to intruder and fire alarms. Monitoring and reviewing CCTV systems. Carrying out routine warehouse security duties include patrols identifying health and safety issues, vulnerable stock, staff searches, loss prevention measures. Control of visitors and contractors.

The successful applicant will maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors by controlling the gatehouse, patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel, and preventing loss by damage, fraud or theft.

The working hours are 48 hrs per week, Rotating Shifts over 7 days, Days/Night shifts, weekends & Bank Hols worked.

What are we looking for?

  • First Aid training is a requirement for this position – full training can be provided.
  • Experience in use CCTV and Access Control systems.
  • Experience in use of alarm systems.
  • Good clerical ability to produce accurate and legible reports.
  • Numeric ability essential to conduct accurate stock counts.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Firm but courteous manner to engage with staff at all levels.
  • Reliable timekeeping and attendance.
  • Able to follow documented procedures.
  • Good observation skills.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety risks.
  • Able to use MS Outlook Email.
  • Work as a team member supporting colleagues.
