Furniture Installer - Birtley

We're passionate about creating seamless customer experiences. As a Furniture Installer, you'll play a vital role in bringing that vision to life. You'll be responsible for delivering and installing furniture and accessories, ensuring everything arrives complete, damage-free, and perfectly assembled.

What you'll do:

  • Install furniture and accessories ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our extensive product range through comprehensive training.
  • Inspect deliveries for completeness and damage, upholding the highest quality standards.
  • Load and unload vehicles daily, utilizing handling aids for safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintain and manage your complete toolkit, ensuring it's always ready for action.
  • Secure necessary paperwork (PDI) before deliveries and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery.
  • Assist the warehouse and colleagues with deliveries and contribute to a streamlined warehouse operation.
  • Work alongside other departments and branches to foster seamless communication for a superior customer experience.
  • Maintain the company vehicle, keeping it clean, presentable, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Partner with the furniture admin team and supply chain to navigate delivery issues and ensure exceptional service.
  • Perform stock checks and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Assist with dispatching goods and vehicles whenever needed.
  • Support fleet administration and communicate effectively with the Group transport team.
  • Ensure proper disposal of customer waste, adhering to company policies and regulations.

What you'll bring:

  • A full clean UK driving license.
  • A knack for assembling flat-packed and other furniture.
  • A positive, professional, and supportive attitude with a drive to succeed.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in a similar role, a plus!
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills.
  • Forklift experience is a bonus!
