Web Designer

We are on the hunt for a Web Designer to work alongside the design team and Senior Designer in our Normanton offices, designing websites for a large and varied Client base covering B2B and B2C websites. You will combine your strong hand coded CSS and HTML skills with pixel-perfect UI/UX design to create highly usable responsive websites and emails.

You will be required to help develop sites for emerging markets and work closely with our team of developers to implement projects across the company.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Designing usability of the Business external website including functionality and content
  • Designing and building email marketing solutions
  • Working closely with the sales team to keep the site’s content up to date
  • Designing and upkeeping Company intranet where required
  • Working with existing and new technologies to develop and maintain market share

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Web Design experience within a B2B or B2C company
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or can prove like for like experience
  • Understanding of Ecommerce in terms of what makes good and bad ecommerce
  • Experience of multi brand marketing campaigns within a fast-moving environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Creative approach to new campaigns
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Understanding of Social Networking & Campaigns (desirable)
  • Experience with responsive site design & development (desirable)
  • Experience managing email campaigns and reporting (desirable)
  • Knowledge of installing/updating/developing Wordpress sites (desirable)
  • Google Analytics / Tag Manager (desirable)
  • Good understanding of HTML/HTML5 (hand coding)
  • Good understanding of CSS/CSS3
  • Building Fully Responsive Websites
  • Building Fully Responsive HTML Emails
  • Fluent with the Adobe Suite (predominately Photoshop & Illustrator)
  • Using browser based live editing tools (dev tools / inspector)
  • Cross-Browser UI/UX testing
  • Knowledge/experience working with jQuery/javascript (desirable)
  • Use of version control software such as VSO / GIT (desirable)
  • Understanding of Google Analytics / Tag Manager Implementation (desirable)
  • SEO optimisation techniques (desirable)
  • Any other programming languages (PHP / ASP) (desirable)
