Contract Type: Part Time Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HR Advisor to be based from our Normanton offices, with some nationwide travel, on a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will provide a first class, tailored, HR service for the Banner team across the Group, supporting the HR Manager on business initiatives, ensuring that the approach is commercially astute, delivers business requirements, minimizes risk and is in accordance with up to date local legislation.
You will be involved in all aspects of HR, including Employee Relations, Change Management including TUPE, Recruitment, Compensation, Benefits, and Learning and Development. You will ensure managers are coached appropriately, providing advice and skills to enable them to effectively manage their teams and drive the business forward.
The day to day role will require supporting managers with disciplinary and grievance issues, absence management, employee engagement and wellbeing, as well as designing and conducting training as and when needed. Additionally you will support in developing and reviewing process, work with managers to ensure succession plans are in place and provide assistance and coaching to line managers on performance development and management.
You will be liaising with employees of a variety of levels, including Senior Management, Managers and Supervisors, the HR Team, and Payroll, thus excellent IT and communication skills (both written and verbal) are vital. An individual who is Part/Full CIPD qualified would be preferred, with broad generalist HR experience, project management skills and who has ideally worked with remote management and teams. Experience within a fast paced environment would be highly beneficial. A proactive and highly organised character who is educated to degree level (or equivalent), with a ‘can do’ attitude and good sense of humour would be great for this role.
