Warehouse Operative - Nights

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our Normanton based Logistics team.

 

You will be responsible for ensuring that all stock is safely loaded and unloaded from the delivery vehicles within the hub.

 

This will include breaking loads down into delivery routes, scanning where necessary and preparing bulk paper palettes for the drivers.  You will also be responsible for ensuring all loads are secured and making the driver aware of the conditions of the loads and producing paperwork, where applicable.

 

Other duties will include covering holidays and absences when required.  This will include loading the vehicle, ensuring all relevant documentation is in place before leaving the depot and using the relevant technology to obtain proof of deliveries.

 

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of health and safety, attention to detail and the ability to work and communicate as part of a team.

 

We are looking for a candidate with a flexible attitude to working hours and willing to do overtime where necessary.  Additionally, the candidate must be physically fit as all tasks will require a degree of walking, standing, lifting or stretching.  Some heavy lifting may be involved.  Good communication skills and basic numeracy and literacy are essential, as are high levels of common sense, integrity and honesty.
