About the Role:
- We are seeking to appoint a highly enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated Programme Leader, who will lead and teach on our popular Access to Higher Education programmes (Land-based and Sport Science pathways).
- The Access to Higher Education programmes are one-year qualifications designed to allow students to progress into Higher Education who otherwise may have been unable to access Higher Education. Students are predominantly 19+ yrs.
About You:
- With the personal attributes to allow you to deliver outstanding teaching, you will ideally possess a degree in a related Land or Sport-based subject, have a teaching qualification and significant teaching experience.
- The successful candidate will also be required to lead a small group of staff who teach on the Access to HE programmes, therefore excellent communication and leadership skills are also highly desirable.
- You will also be responsible for overseeing the quality of provision for the Access to Higher Education programmes, including learner voice, assessment records, managing both internal and external assessment verification processes (liaising with our awarding body CAVA), and other quality processes (e.g. Self-Assessment Reports, Awards Boards etc.).
