About the Role

  • In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the campus.
  • Your work will ensure the smooth operations of maintenance, minimising disruption to the student experience.
  • Performing electrical maintenance and minor repairs, as well as supporting the broader facilities team when needed.
  • Investigating electrical issues, performing repairs, or coordinating with external contractors to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Promoting a strong Health & Safety culture and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of electrical work and liaising with the administration team to ensure the buildings and services meet compliance.
  • Communicating with staff to minimise disruption during maintenance tasks.

              

About You

  • We are looking for a skilled tradesperson or technical professional with an Electrical background who can take on the responsibility of maintaining and repairing electrical systems across campus.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering and possess hands-on experience with electrical maintenance and repairs.
  • Be competent using hand and power tools, as well as electrical test equipment, to carry out general electrical tasks.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively with your team and provide a high-quality maintenance service that enhances the customer experience.
  • Be proactive, with a ‘can do’ attitude and able to work autonomously or a spart of a small team within the Maintenance division.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, quick to adapt in a customer-facing environment, and flexible to meet the evolving needs of a growing campus.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when completing job details, identifying materials for orders, and updating work progress on your PDA.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
