Are you ready to take full ownership of a high-performing website that connects thousands of people to life-changing care? At Helping Hands, we’re looking for a Web Manager / UX Lead to steer the future of helpinghandshomecare.co.uk – our most important digital asset.

This is more than a “keep the lights on” role. You’ll be the driving force behind our website’s performance, user experience and ongoing evolution. From managing technical releases and improving accessibility, to creating conversion-boosting landing pages and leading on UX testing, you’ll shape a best-in-class digital experience for our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the website roadmap – prioritise redesigns, new templates and performance upgrades.

  • Champion UX and CRO – use Hotjar, Figma and A/B testing to lift conversion across PPC and organic entry points.

  • Keep content sharp and search-ready – manage our content calendar, coordinate SEO updates and ensure brand consistency.

  • Lead on release management – run the backlog, triage issues, and coordinate deployments with our Developers.

  • Collaborate across teams – be the go-to person for SEO, PPC, Content, Social and Brand teams on all things website.

  • Drive compliance and performance – uphold GDPR standards, improve Core Web Vitals and keep our site running fast and smooth.

What you’ll bring:

Essential:

  • Strong hands-on WordPress skills (custom components, themes, plugins).

  • Proven experience delivering large web projects – from scope to launch.

  • Confident using Figma for wireframes and prototypes.

  • CRO mindset – skilled with Hotjar, Plausible, A/B testing and turning insight into action.

  • Project management skills – Jira (or similar), sprint planning, QA and release cycles.

  • Great communicator – you can explain complex ideas clearly across technical and non-technical teams.

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of technical SEO and accessibility tools.

  • Experience leading site migrations or large-scale redesigns.
