Role Purpose
Our Secretaries work collectively as a centralised resource within the Legal Services Department. The team provide a comprehensive level of support to our lawyers across all departments. We aspire to deliver technically superior service and as such this role requires suitable candidates to have experience working within the legal sector as a secretary or within document production . We will ensure that our people have the knowledge and skills to achieve at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage dictation queues throughout the day, prioritising and completing tasks across departments
- Provide comprehensive document support, including typing letters, emails and file notes, document production from templates, amending documents using track changes, creating comparison documents, and preparing bundles
- Handle all file administration, including e-filing, hard copy filing, file maintenance, and supporting fee earners with the file opening process
- Liaise with Document Solutions Assistants, PAs and other Secretaries to delegate tasks, share workloads, manage deadlines and ensure work is completed efficiently
- Deal promptly with finance-related requests such as billing, TT’s in/out, and respond to general queries, ensuring messages are communicated and actioned appropriately
- Arrange or undertake photocopying, printing and scanning so documents are collated and distributed accurately and within required timeframes

- Previous experience of working within the legal sector.
Technical Knowledge
- Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications to organise tasks, manage time effectively and support collaborative working (essential). (A/I)
