Role Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Resourcing Advisor to manage the recruitment for our Early Careers programme and Central Teams as well as other roles. An ambassador for Higgs you will be the first point of contact for candidates, champion of the Higgs’ culture and story. You will work closely with the Resourcing Manager to ensure a seamless and efficient hiring process across various departments. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career in the legal sector and contribute to the growth of our talent pool.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the recruitment and selection processes for a range of roles including Early Careers including sourcing, interviewing and onboarding candidates.
  • Ensuring an exceptional candidate experience by being a responsive point of contact throughout the hiring process.
  • Partnering with Heads of Department to gather requirements and attract and engage top talent.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Providing ideas and initiatives to enhance the recruitment strategy and streamline processes.
  • Taking ownership of the role, with the opportunity to shape it and contribute to ongoing recruitment improvements.
  • Contributing to our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives particularly around social mobility.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a recruitment or HR role within a law firm or professional services environment would be great but most importantly we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, people-centric person who can genuinely engage with candidates and who can champion the Higgs’ culture.
  • Familiarity with legal recruitment processes, terminology and job roles (e.g., solicitors, paralegals, business professionals) is an advantage but not essential.
  • We hope to find someone with enthusiasm and integrity to bring fresh ideas to the business.
  • Organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workloads is key. 

Technical Knowledge

  •  Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Strong Excel skills an advantage.
