Test Analyst

Location: Howden (East Riding of Yorkshire), Brackmills Business Park, Northampton or Raunds, Northamptonshire

Working Pattern: 4 days onsite, 1 day from home

What you’ll be doing

• Planning and delivering testing activities across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid deliveries to ensure systems meet quality standards and business outcomes
• Analysing requirements, designs and user stories to create risk‑based test approaches and identify quality risks early
• Designing, maintaining and executing test assets including test cases, exploratory testing and test data
• Executing functional, system, integration and exploratory testing and providing clear quality feedback
• Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure business readiness before release
• Managing defects through their lifecycle, ensuring clear prioritisation, traceability and reporting
• Working closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders and third‑party partners to promote shared ownership of quality
• Contributing to continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, automation and AI‑assisted testing approaches
• Supporting new, seconded or consultant test team members where required

What we need from you

• Proven experience working in a software testing role
• Strong understanding of the software development and test lifecycle
• Experience testing within Agile and Waterfall environments
• ISTQB / ISEB Foundation certification (or equivalent experience)
• Experience using ALM tools such as Azure DevOps or Micro Focus ALM
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective prioritisation
• Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with delivery and business teams
• A proactive, team‑first approach with pride in delivering quality outcomes
