Site Maintenance Joiner

Howdens are recruiting a Site Maintenance Joiner to join our team based at our manufacturing site in Runcorn, Cheshire. With significant investment driving the expansion of the site, including the installation of a state-of-the-art, high-volume panel machining line, this is a fantastic opportunity to join us at a pivotal moment and play a key role in our exciting growth journey. 

In this role you will play a key role in maintaining site buildings through joinery work, including refurbishments, repairs, and painting. The role also involves manufacturing assembly jigs, fixtures, guides, and guards to support production needs and site-wide projects.

Location | Runcorn, Cheshire

Pay Rate | £42,137 per annum

Shift Pattern | Day based - 06:45 to 3pm

 The role:

• To service, repair and manufacture tooling used in our production factories
• Maintain internal & external doors and other building repairs
• Support project work and office/site refurbishments, including decorating
• Design, manufacture and refurbish rigid assembly jigs and other parts as required
• Operate woodworking equipment (table saws, routers, pillar drills and handheld power tools)
• Perform machine pre-use safety checks and maintain a safe working environment
• Be able to modify tooling and perform minor adjustments as requested by the Toolroom Manager

 What you’ll need…

• Time-served Joiner with experience working in a manufacturing environment or site joinery
• Proven maintenance operations experience
• Working at Height training (e.g., step ladders, PASMA, IPAF)
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and accuracy
