LGV Driver | Nights

Howden Joinery is actively recruiting qualified and experienced LGV drivers to join our Night shift and support the growing transport service at the Howden site.

As an LGV Driver, you must have proven experience in a fast-paced transport environment and exceptional customer-focused service ethics.

Reporting to the site Transport Supervisors, the key purpose of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient movement of products to other Howden's sites in line with the delivery schedule. The role contributes to the network results and ensures our customers are delivered undamaged products on time.

What will you be doing as an LGV Driver:

• Trunking movements through PDC’s / out bases (nights)
• Weekend work required through our peak period (October)
• Hours of work average 50 hours p/w
• Full company PPE
• Work within the SHE guidelines
• Driving to company performance parameters

What do you need to qualify for the LGV Driver:

• Excellent knowledge of driver regulations/WTD.
• Hold a full, clean, and up to date LGV driving license
• Have experience in a fast-paced supply chain environment preferably haulage.
• Fully Conversant with tachograph hours and working time directive
• Have a can do, service driven attitude and a desire to deliver our product safely and carefully.
• Be totally committed and comfortable with working long hours alone on the road.
• Although this is a night shift role a degree of flexibility is required with the ability to fulfil Driver contractual hours which may include some, weekends, and additional hours at peak trading times.
