Solid Surface Fitter | North West England

Howdens are seeking a Solid Surface Fitter to join our nationwide Installation Teams. Our Solid Surface Fitters work on-site, fitting our solid surface worktops. You will be responsible for covering North West England, with the main areas being Wigan, Preston, Chorley, and Warrington. Therefore, living within relative proximity would be ideal.

You’ll be out on the road, fitting our premium solid-surface kitchen worktops in customers’ homes and delivering a finish we’re proud of. At Howdens, quality is at the heart of everything we do. What will I be doing as a Solid Surface Fitter?

• Picking up worktops from several collection points and travelling to customers’ homes to complete installations accurately and in accordance with agreed timescales.
• Liaising with customers in their homes and building rapport face to face.
• Adhering to H&S standards, company quality standards and housekeeping protocols.
• Updating reports and order tracking systems.
• Minimalising raw material wastage by recycling where possible and leaving all sites clean and tidy.
• Note: You will not be responsible for any plumbing or electrical duties on any site.

What do I need to qualify for this Solid Surfaces Fitter role?

• We’re looking to recruit an experienced Quartz Solid Surface Fitter, with proven experience fitting quartz worktops being essential. Experience fitting acrylic and Dekton work surfaces is desirable but not essential
• Use of carpentry tools.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Communicates positively with colleagues and customers and can build effective relationships.
• Shows initiative and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
• A good geographical knowledge of the local area.
