Junior Product Technician

We are recruiting a Junior Product Technician to join our Appliance team based at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a degree in engineering to kick-start their career with the UK’s leading Trade Kitchen supplier.

In this role, you will focus on driving technical improvements in safety, quality, installation, and usability of our appliances, while also assisting our 900+ depots with technical queries.

What will you be doing as a Junior Product Technician:

• Managing the SharePoint data structure and content for the Appliance category
• Ensure new products are tested for performance before launch and help improve service call rate
• Overseeing the technical side of new product introductions (NPI) into the supply chain
• Support the creation information booklets, user manuals, and installation guides
• Conducting product fit and installation tests, ensuring ease of installation for our builders
• Responding quickly to technical issues and escalate as needed
• Supporting investigations into technical issues
• Providing key information to the category to help drive supplier alignment
• Maintaining key performance indicators for all areas of responsibility

What do you need to qualify for a Junior Product Technician:

• HND or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline (desirable)
• Confident communication and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Customer focus with great problem-solving skills
• Collaborative working and a solution-focused outlook
• Strong Microsoft Office experience particularly Excel
