SAP Basis Analyst

We are looking for a SAP Basis Analyst to join our SAP Basis Team.  

The SAP Basis Analyst will have a key role within the SAP Basis team which is focused on ensuring system stability and support in a rapidly changing business.

This is a full time, permanent role based from our office in Croxley Park Watford. You will be expected to work onsite at least 3 days per week with some home working.

What will I be doing as a SAP Basis Analyst?

As a SAP Basis Analyst, you’ll be responsible for maintaining system stability and performance across the entire SAP landscape.   You will also be responsible for system installations, patching and upgrades.   You will work very closely with other SAP and infrastructure teams.  A willingness to learn and develop relationships with other teams, end users, key stakeholders and external partners is important. 

You will be the accountable person on projects, which will require you to be an excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and exhibits a proactive approach to work.  You will be managing and resolving incidents and service requests.  Producing system documentation/runbooks for current and new system processes.

What we need from you:

  • Proven SAP Basis operational expertise
  • Experience with SAP RISE deployment methodologies and tools.
  • Hana experience is mandatory
  • Installation, upgrade and patching experience is essential
  • Demonstrable experience in supporting large scale SAP environments
  • SAP traditional security experience and Fiori experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Automation experience in all aspects of supporting an SAP system would be desirable but not essential.
  • Adept at performance monitoring and tuning at both Hana and Netweaver levels
  • Proficient in identifying and analysing system problems
  • Previous working experience with SAP BW, APO, PI, TM, QIM would all be advantageous
  • A good, all-round knowledge of IT and supporting SAP products
  • Experience in ILM would be desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience of working to deadlines on complex projects is required.
