Machine Operator

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team in Runcorn to safely manufacture a range of panels, rails, and frontals to the correct quality specification.

To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, along with a strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.

Pay rate as a Machine Operator:

  • £42,137.68 per annum + £4,425 shift allowance 

The role currently operates a 3-shift rota system:

  • Week 1 - 07.00am – 3.00pm (Monday to Friday)
  • Week 2 – 11.00pm – 7.00am (Sunday to Thursday)
  • Week 3 – 3.00pm – 11.00pm (Monday to Friday)

The role:

  • Performing machine pre use safety checks and setting up the machine in the allocated time frame using the specific SOP
  • Continuous monitoring of the machine during production
  • Performing detailed process quality checks in accordance with the area SOP and in line with the published control plans and gauges provided
  • Weekly autonomous and preventative maintenance
  • Performing minor adjustments when required and ensuring the area is maintained to the agreed housekeeping standards
  • Work to drawing specifications in order to produce products accurately and to the correct quality standards

The successful candidate may have experience with the following equipment: 

  • Board Loader
  • Rip Saw
  • Roller Transfer
  • Combination Edge Bander
  • Multi Bore Drilling
  • Stackers
  • Standalone Saws
  • Drill Dowellers
