Junior Project Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity in our projects team for a Junior Project Manager.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic Projects Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in delivering real business impact while developing your project management skills.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting and coordinating projects that drive our business forward. You’ll help manage timelines, resources, and communication to ensure successful project delivery — all while learning from experienced professionals and growing your career in project management.

Working onsite at least 4 days per week. This is a permanent role based from either our office in Croxley Park, Watford, Raunds in Northamptonshire or Howden in Yorkshire.

What you will be doing as a Junior Project Manager

  • Support the delivery of projects lasting 12 weeks to 18 months, involving cross-functional teams of 5–30 people and budgets up to £3m+.
  • Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and benefits throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help maintain project governance and documentation, including plans, risks, budgets, and progress reports using tools like MS Project and Azure DevOps.
  • Coordinate stakeholder communication, ensuring engagement across Digital, IS, and Business teams, and contribute to accurate budget tracking.
  • Monitor and adjust project plans and resources, supporting delivery against time, cost, and quality expectations while removing delivery barriers.
  • Demonstrate project leadership and coordination skills, providing structure and support to project teams even without direct line management responsibilities.

What we need from you

  • 2 years of IT experience in a business-facing role desirable
  • Awareness of PM tools and techniques e.g. Visio, Azure DevOps, Jira, and facilitation
  • Problem solving skills
  • An awareness of project management methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, persuasion, influencing and team engagement skills
  • Confident with building productive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and partners
  • Analytical with the ability to understand problems and provide conclusions / solutions
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and able to prioritise effectively
  • High attention to detail - focused effort on getting things right first time
  • Calm and composed under pressure
