General Operative

Howdens Work Surfaces is part of Howden Joinery PLC and is the UK’s largest manufacturer of solid and natural work surfaces, based in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

We are currently looking to recruit a General Operative to be responsible for the production of solid surfaces by setting, monitoring and performing quality checks on saws, polishing machine and CNC with current standard operating procedures and health and safety processes. There could also be an element of working within our finishing department, this involves polishing the worktops to high standard in line with technical drawings ready for final inspection before delivery.

Pay rate and shift pattern:

• £14.84 + shift allowance + monthly production bonus and daily meal allowance 
• Night Shift - 5:45pm – 4am Monday to Thursday
• Opportunities for overtime
