Van Driver

We are looking for a Van Driver to join our team at Howdens Worksurfaces, our solid surface manufacturing site in Normanton, Wakefield. In this role, you’ll be responsible for operating our delivery service, playing a vital part in supporting our planned growth and enhancing the level of service we deliver to our customers.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday - Friday | Day Shift

What will you be doing as a Van Driver:

• Safely checking, securing and transporting our bespoke products around the UK
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining vehicle cleanliness
• Providing a professional and friendly manner at all sites
• Work within the SHE guidelines
• Support the transport team in other duties when required
• Driving company performance parameters

 What do I need to qualify for the Van Driver:

• A full UK driving licence held for at least one year and be able to drive a 3.5T van
• Previous delivery experience is desirable
• Excellent knowledge of driver regulations/WTD
• Have excellent geographical knowledge
• Flexible in approach to working times and hours
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
