Shunter Driver

We are looking for an experienced Shunter Driver to support our warehouse operation in Hull. In this role, you will be responsible for managing trailer movements to ensure goods are delivered on time and undamaged, helping to improve overall logistics performance.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 6am – 2:30pm, Friday 6am - 2pm

What will you be doing as Shunter Driver:

You will initially follow the daily plan set by the Stock & Admin Manager, then work independently to position trailers as required, ensuring the smooth flow of operations. Your responsibilities will include managing trailer availability, reporting any shortages to your line manager, and ensuring the safe handling of trailers.

What do you need to Qualify for the Shunter Driver:

  • A current clean Class 1 Driving Licence (LGV C+E)
  • Previous experience as a Shunter Driver, preferably in a transport/distribution environment
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in good condition
  • On-site training will be provided
