This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and engaging Solution Architect to work on several interesting and challenging supply chain transformation projects and support the strategic vision of Howdens. 

A Permanent role you can be based from any of our corporate office which are located in Howden, Yorkshire, Brackmills Business Park, Northampton, Raunds, Northamptonshire or Croxley Park, Watford with some home working.

What will I be doing as a Solution Architect?

  • Reporting to the Lead Architect, you will be working on transformation projects and therefore you’ll need to have strong solution design experience in a highly complex enterprise scale-based environments & lines of business from procurement, logistics, manufacturing, finance, and service.
  • You will be able to effectively align Business, Data, Integration, Security, Application, and underlying Technology to design robust solutions.
  • Working closely with business stakeholders, product management, business analysts, lead developers, systems engineers, project managers and the wider architecture community to deliver viable, high-quality designs to the development and delivery teams. 

What we need from you.

  • Supply Chain business and solutions experience
  • Practical experience on delivery of multiple lifecycle projects in SAP, with a strong understanding of at least 2 of the core SAP modules
  • The ability to lead and support the Design authority in highly complex enterprise scale environments
  • Confident, engaging, and a strong work ethic with a passion for transformation and innovation
  • Able to support the overall business strategy, transformation, and technology direction
  • Working understanding of modern integration platforms, various techniques to integrate systems and cloud hosting platforms
  • Understanding and good working knowledge of TOGAF architecture methodology
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and architectural trends
