Ready to take the lead on big brand moments? As our Brand Communications Marketing Manager, you’ll shape and deliver campaigns that make tradespeople stop, take notice, and remember Howdens. You'll bring it all to life, from national radio and advertising to PR, brand partnerships, initiatives and events, and ESG storytelling.

This is a permanent position based from our site in Raunds, Northamptonshire 4 days per week with 1 day from home.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the development and delivery of brand marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and commercial impact across trade and consumer audiences
  • Responsible for national advertising, PR strategy, ESG communications, brand partnerships, and high-profile activations
  • Working closely with in-house creative and media agencies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and play a key role in elevating our brand across trade and consumer audiences
  • Launching new campaigns, driving customer engagement, and crafting bold communications that align with our values.
  • Helping shape the Howdens brand— bold, consistent, and customer-first across every channel and touchpoint.

What we need from you:

  • A visible leader and strategic connector - you'll lead a high-performing team, drive cross-functional collaboration, and shape brand direction
  • A love for brands — and a proven track record of bringing them to life across campaigns and channels
  • Strong experience in brand marketing and communications, ideally in a B2B or trade environment
  • Confidence in managing media plans, agencies, and cross-functional teams — with a sharp eye on ROI
  • Great storytelling instincts, with the ability to translate strategy into clear, creative, and compelling campaigns
  • Experience in PR, brand partnerships, and ESG comms is a big plus, with ability to lead and host journalist events.
  • Agility, energy, and a proactive mindset — you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, roll-your-sleeves-up kind of team
  • Passion for doing brand work that’s not just seen — but remembered
  • Desirable Qualifications a CIM or Mini MBA qualification would be the cherry on top, signalling your commitment to staying at the top of your marketing game.
  • Ability to work onsite 4 days per week from Raunds.

What we can offer you

  • Grade 5
  • Competitive basic salary and annual company bonus
  • Excellent pension scheme (company contribution of up to 12%)
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Subsidised lunch at our onsite restaurant
  • Staff Discount
