Machine Operator | Factory 5

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join us at our manufacturing site in Howden (Factory 5). 

To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience as a Machine Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, along with a strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.

Pay rate and shift pattern:

• £42,137.68 per annum+ £4,571.32 shift allowance 
• Rotating days and nights 10-hour shifts (Monday to Thursday)

What you'll be doing as a Machine Operator:

• Performing machine pre-use safety checks
• Setting up the machine/process in accordance with the specific SOP
• Monitoring of the machine during production 
• Producing confirmations on MES
• Performing detailed process quality checks in accordance with the area SOP
• Changing tooling and performing minor adjustments to the agreed housekeeping standards

What we're looking for:

• Production and/or manufacturing experience working in a fast-paced factory environment
• Wood machining experience
• Ability to read and understand manual handling risk assessments and SOPs

The successful candidate may have experience with the following equipment: 

• Board Loader
• Rip Saw
• Roller Transfer
• Combination Edge Bander
• Multi Bore Drilling
• Stackers
• Standalone Saws
• Drill Dowellers
