Are you an inspirational public library leader?

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed library leader to lead the management of around 20 libraries in Nottinghamshire.

You will be experienced in leading frontline library services and be focused on excellent customer service and developing services to meet community need. You’ll join a friendly and innovative Library Management Team, and will be happy to develop, lead and contribute to projects across the organisation. Experienced in staff management, you will be able to work alongside different services to lead our colleagues to deliver a high quality, integrated service offer.

There has never been a better time to join Inspire Learning’s Administration Team.

We face new and rewarding challenges as we prepare for the implementation of a brand new Management Information System for Inspire Learning (delivered by Tribal/EBS) and also prepare to introduce new administration systems to meet the (as yet unknown) reporting requirements for our Adult Skills Fund provision that will be introduced by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) as they take over the responsibility to managing the ASF from the Department for Education/Education and Skills Funding Agency from the start of the 2025/26 Academic Year from the 1st August onwards.

In addition to joining the crucial Inspire Learning Data Administration Team, this post will be based at the Newark Buttermarket.

The post will be responsible for supporting the Centre Manager (Clare Janes) and ensuring that the centre is operating effectively and that all visitors/contractors etc are greeted and assisted as appropriate.

Overview:

Inspire College is recruiting term-time classroom/practical Learning Support Assistants for its bases in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Mansfield and Newark for the period running to July 2026.

Inspire College works with 16 to 24 year-olds on full-time Study Programmes. Some of these learners have mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or social, emotional and mental health issues. Some can also present with challenging behaviour. While with us, learners work on their employability and personal and social development. Some complete vocational qualifications in Construction, Catering and Health and Social Care and all do Maths and English and have the opportunity to gain work experience. They also benefit from the excellent pastoral care provided by our staff and take part in enrichment activities, which can happen outside of the classroom.

The ideal candidates should have experience of developing constructive working relationships with other professionals. Additionally, they will have a good understanding of the issues facing young people in today’s society and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude in helping them overcome their barriers to education. A – C GCSE grades (or equivalent) in English and Maths are required, as is an ability to recognise and respond to the needs of young people, in turn providing the necessary encouragement and motivation needed to help them succeed.

The hours are 8.30 – 4.00, 3 days a week, Mon – Wed (currently – could be subject to change in September). Lunches are taken with and while supporting the young people. Additional days may also be available, for example supporting young people on work placement.

This is an excellent opportunity to pursue a career in education with an expanding local organisation which delivers vital services to both adults and young people across the county. Training and support will be given to help the successful candidates undertake the role.
