Are you a creative, technically confident photographer/videographer/content creator? We’re looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and inspirational individual to join our friendly, hard-working team.
Inspire delivers culture, learning and library services across Nottinghamshire, and you’ll contribute across all our service areas. With a focus on cultural activity, you’ll create engaging content for internal and external campaigns for a wide range of audiences. You’ll combine excellent communication skills with a creative eye and technical capability.
One day you could be in a library photographing a VIP reopening (complete with ribbon-cutting and cake), the next filming a performance on stage - and then interviewing a learner whose life has been positively impacted by one of our courses.
This is a role where you’ll have real ownership, gain great experience, and contribute to the positive impact we make in communities across the county. We’d love to hear from you - and we can’t wait to #BeInspired by our new team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality images, video footage and audio across a variety of events, people, buildings and locations.
- Select and use the right equipment for each brief (e.g., DSLR, video camera, phone).
- Edit content for multiple platforms and formats, including vertical (Reels/Shorts) and horizontal (YouTube-style) outputs.
- Manage and organise the image bank and consent process, ensuring compliance with data protection.
- Work closely with colleagues across Inspire, and the Communications and Marketing team, to plan content that captures our stories and impact.
- Bring ideas: we want someone who contributes creatively and can translate brand and service messaging into compelling visual and audio stories.
Must-haves
- Proven photography and videography experience (shooting and editing), with a portfolio/demo reel showing a range of work.
- Strong technical ability to use a variety of equipment for capture and systems for editing/content production.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant editing tools.
- Comfortable and confident working independently on-site with a wide range of people, from leadership teams and external stakeholders to children and young people. Shoots may include children’s events, large performance events, dance, group shots, and internal/external building photography.
- Experience of managing social media channels, content distribution and platform trends is also desirable for full end-to-end delivery.
Working style & schedule
- Occasional weekend and evening work.
- Location – travel is required county wide so access to a car is essential.
