Following the successful promotion of our Adult Learning Lead Tutor for Maths, we are recruiting to the post.

Inspire delivers quality adult learning for Nottinghamshire, across the county. The Adult Learning Maths Lead Tutor is a key role in this delivery.

The Maths Lead is responsible for the planning and delivery of the maths programme across the whole county. This includes a significant Maths Functional Skills offer from Entry Level to Level 2, as well as GCSE maths, maths engagement and family learning maths. Our courses are delivered in-person, many from our libraries across the county, but also in other community venues, as well as some online tutored classes. They run throughout the week and include evening and weekend delivery.

The Lead Tutor plans the programme to meet identified local need; they line manage and support a team of tutors, full-time and sessional, to develop and deliver excellent adult learning provision ensuring greater confidence, successful achievement and progression for all learners. The Lead Tutor is expected to teach maths at all levels for up to 40% of their contracted time. The Lead Tutor, working as part of the Adult Learning Management Team, collaborates to ensure an integrated, responsive and high-quality programme of adult learning for Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for a well-qualified teacher/tutor, with maths specialism. They will need to be familiar with the Functional Skills Maths curriculum at all levels, as well as GCSE. They will, ideally, have experience of delivering maths to adult learners, be passionate about the subject, understand potential barriers to learning maths which adults might experience, and able to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in our adult maths learners.

This is a full-time, permanent role with travel around Nottinghamshire. You will hold a current valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. It will include some evening and weekend work.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable person to join our team at Mansfield Central Library as a Building Officer.

The successful candidates will be flexible, conscientious, self-motivated and be able to offer a variety of practical skills.

The role of Building Officer is to ensure the highest possible customer experience across Inspire buildings as required by undertaking building related duties and routine maintenance to ensure buildings are secure, safe, clean, and welcoming and operate smoothly and efficiently at all times. Duties include opening & locking up, setting up of rooms, some basic IT work, ensuring high levels of cleanliness in the building, basic maintenance and playing a key role in ensuring that Mansfield Central Library is a safe and appealing place to work in and to visit.

Good customer service is also required.

Mansfield Central Library does occasionally have some events scheduled until 10pm and so flexibility would be required to help with these, and other evening room hires that may be scheduled in during the week.

We are also open 7 days a week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, and reliable Building Officer to join the Inspire Youth Arts team based at The Old Library Arts Centre, Mansfield.

The Building Officer plays a key role in ensuring The Old Library building is a safe and welcoming place to visit and work. Responsible for day-to-day building tasks at the Grade II listed building, duties include opening/locking up, general janitorial and cleaning duties, assisting with regular building and weekly checks, room set ups, moving furniture, working at height, and welcoming people into the building.

The successful candidate will have a variety of practical skills which will be carried out to a high standard; be flexible, conscientious and self-motivated, with the ability to organise their own work. Proven customer service skills are key, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers and customers, especially young people. This is a physical role; however, basic use of computers will be required.

The postholder will be a keyholder and will be on call as the first point of contact, for security/ emergencies, outside of office hours. The successful candidate must, therefore, be able to travel to the premises quickly.

Inspire Youth Arts delivers music, dance and digital art programmes for children and young people from The Old Library building. The 18.5 hours per week will be split across evenings in the working week, hours will be set with the successful candidate, however the likely preferred hours during school term time would be:

Tuesdays 4.30pm – 9pm

Wednesdays 5pm – 9.30pm

Thursday 4.30– 8.00pm

Friday 4.30pm – 7.30pm

 

Hours during school holiday weeks are likely to be worked differently to allow for deep cleans and targeting building tasks.

We are seeking a flexible and motivated Delivery Driver/Assistant Building Officer to work in the Logistics Team who sort and deliver the varied resources that Inspire provides across the whole of Nottinghamshire.

Reporting to the Senior Building Officer, the post will also assist with the day-to-day building tasks at Inspire HQ, including opening and closing the building, assisting with regular building checks, and the sorting of library stock and other items for delivery across Nottinghamshire.

You will undertake van deliveries to public libraries and learning venues, and schools across Nottinghamshire, driving one of our 3.5 tonne box vans. The role also includes moving furniture and general janitorial and cleaning duties at our headquarters building as required. This is a varied role visiting various sites, working with a wide variety of Inspire services, and different teams.

A friendly and flexible approach and good organisational skills are essential, with the ability to take instruction and safely operate Inspire vehicles. A full UK driving license is an essential requirement.

Standard working hours: 10:00 - 18:00 Monday-Thursday, 10:00 – 17:30 Friday

Shortlisting will take place on Monday 2nd February 2026.  Interviews to be held on Tuesday 10th February 2026 at Inspire HQ, where a short driving assessment and tour of our dispatch area will accompany the informal interview. You will need to bring your driving license if invited to interview for this role.

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Finance Assistant to join the Inspire Finance Team, based in Nottingham.

In this role, you will be a valued part of our friendly and supportive team, helping to keep our finance function running smoothly every day. You will play a key part in making sure our transactional finance tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, while providing helpful, positive support to colleagues and external stakeholders. You will also provide essential administrative support to the wider finance team.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Finance Officer, and with no direct reports, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our day‑to‑day financial processes. This includes accurately entering and uploading purchase transactions into Inspire’s accounting software, creating purchase orders when required, and preparing payment runs in line with our financial policies and regulations. You will set up and maintain supplier records and coordinate the purchase card process, including monthly reporting, correct VAT treatment, and regular liaison with budget holders. You will also prepare and issue sales invoices, generate income uploads, and ensure all finance documentation is kept organised and up to date. You will provide timely, professional responses to transactional finance queries from colleagues and external stakeholders. In addition, you will support the finance team with general administrative tasks, which may occasionally extend to wider Inspire activities such as minute‑taking at HR hearings.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a motivated and capable individual with previous experience working within a finance function and the ability to confidently manage day‑to‑day financial processes. You will bring strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, and you will be an effective communicator with clear and professional written and verbal skills.

You will have excellent organisational abilities, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
