Inspire Youth Arts (IYA) delivers high-quality, inclusive arts opportunities for young people aged 11 – 25 years from across Nottinghamshire.  Our programme includes regular term-time sessions, holiday projects, and unique experiences in music, dance, and digital arts.

Based at The Old Library in Mansfield, our venue features a professional recording studio, a 100-seat theatre, and versatile studio spaces for workshops, rehearsals and performances. IYA offers opportunities for young people to engage with the arts both at The Old Library and in communities, schools, and colleges across the county.  Access and inclusion are at the centre of everything we do. We're committed to providing equitable opportunities and creative agency for all young people, including those who are learning and/or physically disabled and/or neurodivergent.

What we are looking for: IYA are seeking a Technician with skills and knowledge in setting up and operating lighting and sound equipment to support the technical requirements of the IYA music, dance and digital art programmes.

The role will be based at The Old Library, Mansfield, with occasional work across Nottinghamshire as required. The role will support technical aspects of projects in other non-Inspire buildings, such as theatres and art galleries, schools and colleges, and at festivals and events across the county. IYA supports private hires of room bookings within The Old Library. The Technician role will support the technical requirements of private hire booking as required. In addition, the role will support broader Inspire events where relevant. Maintenance and upkeep of technical equipment and musical instruments is a key responsibility.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong teamwork and customer service, be able to work closely with the IYA Technical Manager and the broader Inspire Youth Arts team, and support a range of freelance artists/practitioners who deliver our artistic programmes. Inspire College is recruiting term-time classroom/practical Learning Support Assistants for its base in Newark for the period running to July 2026.

Inspire College works with 16 to 24 year-olds on full-time Study Programmes. Some of these learners have mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or social, emotional and mental health issues. Some can also present with challenging behaviour. While with us, learners work on their employability and personal and social development. Some complete vocational qualifications in Construction, Catering and Health and Social Care and all do Maths and English and have the opportunity to gain work experience. They also benefit from the excellent pastoral care provided by our staff and take part in enrichment activities, which can happen outside of the classroom.

The ideal candidates should have experience of developing constructive working relationships with other professionals. Additionally, they will have a good understanding of the issues facing young people in today’s society and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude in helping them overcome their barriers to education. A – C GCSE grades (or equivalent) in English and Maths are required, as is an ability to recognise and respond to the needs of young people, in turn providing the necessary encouragement and motivation needed to help them succeed.

The hours are 8.30 – 4.00, 3 days a week, Mon – Wed (currently – could be subject to change in September). Lunches are taken with and while supporting the young people. Additional days may also be available, for example supporting young people on work placement.

This is an excellent opportunity to pursue a career in education with an expanding local organisation which delivers vital services to both adults and young people across the county. Training and support will be given to help the successful candidates undertake the role.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Education Library Service playing a key role in delivering our resource and advice services to schools supporting pupils’ curriculum needs and promoting reading for pleasure. Our Library Assistants are vital, providing a welcoming first point of contact for customers. Day to day you can expect to be responding to a range of enquiries, discharging and shelving books, stock editing and selection and assisting with financial administration. There is an element of manual handling in this post.

We’re looking for an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to deal with a variety of customers both in person, via email and on the phone.

You will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, organised and energetic individual who is able to work alone as well as part of a team. You will have an interest in children’s literature and education.

Working 19.5 hours per week. Hours of work are Tuesday & Wednesday 9.30am – 5pm and Thursday 10.30am – 6pm (9.30am – 5pm in school holidays) each week.
