Do you have IT and digital skills that you are keen to share with adults?

Inspire is looking for a full-time tutor to help us build IT and digital skills confidence, skills and creativity with learners across Nottinghamshire and online.

We are hoping to further extend our IT and digital skills curriculum – initial digital engagement, Essential Digital Skills, Functional Skills, IT family learning, creative digital applications, IT for work or play. If any, or all, of these are your specialism and you are able to deliver quality learning opportunities, resulting in successful outcomes for learners with a wide spectrum of IT and digital skills needs and aspirations (from initial engagement to ambitious employment or recreational skill development), we would love you to consider coming to join our Inspire Learning Adult Learning team.

The post is full-time and permanent, based in Nottinghamshire – with travel around the county and a programme of in-person and online engagement, development and delivery.

Inspire is a lead partner in Captivate, the Local Cultural Education Partnership for Mansfield and Ashfield whose aim is to improve children and young people’s access to high quality, inspiring cultural education opportunities. Following an award from DCMS’s Volunteering Futures fund we are creating opportunities for young people to develop their creative, leadership and employability skills through a multi- faceted volunteering programme – Takeover: Pathways into Work.

We are seeking an experienced, skilled, creative and enthusiastic professional to develop and co-ordinate delivery of the volunteering programme alongside the Captivate Partnership.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for arts and culture and a clear understanding of the value of culture in developing life skills. We seek someone with recent experience of delivering successful events and activities and working with children and young people. Possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of partnership working, and experience of project management. Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential. You must be able to work under your own initiative and with teams, work flexibly, drive and have your own transport.

Working 18.5 hours per week including some weekend and evening working, from a base to be agreed with home working supported. Some countywide travel will be required.

Inspire College is keen to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Functional Skills tutor to deliver Maths and English to young people on its programmes in Mansfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield and wider Nottinghamshire.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.

They will also need to be qualified to GCSE level (A-C or equivalent) in these subjects. Experience of delivering GCSE Maths or English would be an advantage, although training can be provided. A relevant teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, DET, or equivalent) is also desirable, though the candidate could be willing to work towards.

Inspire College is keen to recruit term-time Learning Support Assistants to support classroom delivery until the end of the 2022-23 academic year.

We work with 16 to 24 year-olds on full-time Study Programmes. Some of these learners have mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or behavioural needs, and some may have social, emotional and mental health issues. While with us, they work on their employability, personal and social development. Some complete vocational qualifications and all do Maths, English and have the opportunity to gain work experience. They also benefit from the excellent pastoral care provided by our staff and take part in enrichment activities, which often happen outside of the classroom.

The ideal candidates should have experience of developing constructive working relationships with other professionals, and ideally with young people in an educational setting. Additionally, they will have a good understanding of the issues facing young people in today’s society and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude in helping them overcome their barriers to education. A – C GCSE grades (or equivalent) in English and Maths are required, as is an ability to recognise and respond to the needs of young people, in turn providing the necessary encouragement and motivation needed to help them succeed.

This is why we are very pleased to offer the opportunity to gain the new Library, Information and Archive Services Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Working as a Library Customer Service Advisor at  Worksop Library and supported by Barnsley College, you will get both the work experience and the training needed for you to be successful in gaining the qualification. One day a week will be devoted to off-the-job training which, once a month, includes virtual tutorials with Barnsley College.

We’re looking for a dynamic and flexible individual with excellent customer service skills. You will be interested in developing a career within the Libraries and Archives sector. You will be someone who loves helping others and who would relish the chance to inspire people to read, learn and enjoy culture.

You will be based at Worksop Library however there is an expectation that you will work in other libraries as required. This may include evening events and weekends.

Experience of working with the public in either a paid or voluntary capacity would be useful as would having worked using your own initiative as well as part of a team. You will also have experience of using computers and should be able to use ICT competently. An interest in and knowledge of public library services, plus an interest in broader culture and learning are essential requirements of this post.

Although you would work primarily at Keyworth, there is an expectation that you may work in other libraries as required. Keyworth library serves a vibrant village community in Rushcliffe borough and is located near the centre of the village it serves.

You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, energetic and proactive in looking for ways to develop and improve library services and outcomes for customers. You will also be committed to supporting the delivery of arts, cultural and learning services delivered through libraries. You will have experience of working with the public in either a paid or voluntary capacity and be able to work using your own initiative as well as part of a team.
