Internal promotion opens up the opportunity to join Inspire’s Adult Learning team as the Co-ordinator for our adult learning programme in the south of Nottinghamshire.

The role has specific responsibility for the planning and management of both accredited and tailored learning for adults in the districts of Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe.

Inspire would like to recruit a well-qualified, experienced, enthusiastic adult educator with a proven track-record of successfully managing a broad and responsive programme of community-based adult learning. The successful applicant will have expertise in meeting learner needs; supporting positive learner progression; supporting and challenging colleagues to continuously improve; building positive and effective community and partner relationships to ensure a responsive and ambitious local offer.

Whilst the specific responsibility of the role is in the south of the county, this postholder works with other colleagues to deliver aspects of the programme across the county, and so travel will be necessary across Nottinghamshire. Candidates will therefore, ideally, have a current driving license and access to a vehicle.

We are actively championing inclusion and diversity in both our service offer and our employment: we particularly welcome your application if you are black, Asian or from a minority ethnic group, as you are currently under-represented at this level in our organisation.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks. As such, this post will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

At Inspire Learning we continue to be very proud of our high-quality ESOL adult learning, designed to meet the needs of our communities across Nottinghamshire. The programme continues to grow, and we are now recruiting for a full-time ESOL tutor to join our team.

We are looking for a well-qualified ESOL tutor (CELTA L5, or equivalent), a skilled practitioner with experience of delivering successful and high-quality accredited and non-accredited ESOL, both in-person and online, from entry level to Level 2, to meet the needs of groups of mixed-language, mixed-level, adult learners. As well as supporting learners to access and achieve ESOL qualifications, the tutor may design and deliver family learning ESOL.

We are seeking to appoint a tutor with a passion for developing enrichment work to support our ESOL learners and with an interest in working collaboratively with other tutors to develop ways of making other curriculum areas accessible to ESOL learners. Ideally, the tutor will have knowledge and experience of assessment and IQA processes.

The tutor may be asked to tutor across Nottinghamshire, and online, with an agreed programme of teaching to include daytime, evening and some weekend courses.
