We are looking for an individual to become part of our growing ICT management team. You will be based in Nottingham or Mansfield with flexible home/office working.

This is an opportunity to join us at the formative stage of our in-house ICT team and be instrumental in developing and steering the service.

As Service Desk Manager you would be managing incidents, requests and change control, acting as a point of escalation. You will have responsibility for a small team, to support you in providing excellent BAU service and project resources.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a supervisory role and technical experience, using your knowledge and technical skills to support and develop services, processes, and the team.

The role will support delivery of ICT services across 60 Libraries, 30 Inspire Learning Centre’s as well as Nottinghamshire Archives, Youth Arts and Cultural centres and venues across Nottinghamshire. The ability to travel across Nottinghamshire is desirable.

Inspire: Culture, Learning and Libraries is an organisation delivering a range of cultural, heritage, learning and library services across Nottinghamshire. The ICT Team support delivery of ICT services across 60 Libraries, 30 Inspire Learning Centre’s as well as Nottinghamshire Archives, Youth Arts and Cultural centres and venues across Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for an individual to join our busy ICT team as an ICT Technician - an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in ICT.  You will be based in Nottingham or Mansfield with flexible home/office working.

The role will see you working with a variety of systems that deliver Inspire ICT services to our staff, customers and learners across Nottinghamshire. You will be providing first-line ICT technical support to our teams, handling requests, resolving issues and providing advice, including: 

  • Providing technical support and guidance, assisting with software and hardware problems.
  • Setting up new computers for staff, customers and learners.
  • Dealing with user accounts, passwords and access to systems.
  • Maintaining ICT equipment, mobile devices and audio/visual devices.
  • Working on ICT projects and deploying new software, services and equipment.

 You will be supported every step of the way by our small, dedicated ICT team and gaining first-hand experience, knowledge, skills and a qualification to launch your career in ICT.

 We are looking for someone with a passion for technology, with good communication skills and a keen eye for solving problems. Attitude and enthusiasm for the role is much more important to us than your experience.

Inspire is seeking to recruit additional sessional maths tutors to support our adult learning programme across Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for qualified tutors to help us deliver our maths programme for adults. We are looking for excellent adult educators to come and join our team as sessional tutors.

You will be well qualified, skilled in your field, an excellent communicator and an inspiring tutor. You will be familiar with Functional Skills Maths from entry level to level 2 and ideally have experience of delivering this successfully with adult learners. Ideally, you will also have experience of GCSE foundation maths, with maths engagement and maths within a family learning context.

We offer our maths courses both in-person and online and we will need you to tutor engagingly in both settings. We need tutors who are able to help us deliver evening and weekend maths courses, as well as weekday ones.

The role offers you the opportunity to join our skilled, supported and committed team, with the opportunity to deliver a negotiated programme of accredited and non-accredited learning, online and face to face across the county.

This is a part-time, flexible role with travel around Nottinghamshire. You will ideally hold a current valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Inspire’s Youth Arts team delivers music, dance, and digital arts projects from its Mansfield base and across Nottinghamshire, including a mixture of workshops, events, installations and showcases, reaching over 1500 young people aged 11 – 25 each year. Inspire Youth Arts (IYA) creates opportunities which develop young people’s creativity, confidence, employability and wellbeing and places access and inclusion at the heart of all its work.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Producer with knowledge of a range of artforms. The post holder will be required to work dynamically with the Inspire Youth Arts Manager to lead the IYA creative team and to work with a range of partners, artists, stakeholders, and funders to develop inspiring and inclusive arts and cultural opportunities for young people.

We are looking for an experienced events professional, ideally with experience in the cultural or creative sectors, who has a strong understanding of events programming and management, a flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to teamwork, experience of successful bid writing and excellent project management and communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential. You will have excellent understanding and knowledge of youth engagement, health and safety and safeguarding young people.

Working 37 hours per week including some weekend and evening working, the postholder will be based at The Old Library in Mansfield, with home working supported. The ability to travel across the county by your own means is essential.

Are you a dynamic business development professional looking for a new challenge? We’re seeking a service manager with vision and drive to lead and develop Inspire’s Education Library Service.

As Service Manager you will play a vital role in leading and implementing operational and managerial changes for the service ensuring the ongoing provision of a high quality, customer focused schools library service. This key role will focus on increasing the customer base and maximising revenue while ensuring the service’s vision to support schools inspire children’s love of reading and learning is delivered.

Reporting to a member of Inspire’s leadership team, you will identify opportunities for growth and transformation, develop and implement strategies to gain new customers, identify and develop new income streams and accompanying business plans, be able to analyse data to inform your decisions, represent, promote and advocate for the service at conferences and events and build strong links and relationships with external partners and stakeholders. You will also provide leadership, support and direction to a small, committed team. We’re looking for a dynamic, resilient strategic thinker with a proven track record in business leadership, resource and operational management.

Possessing excellent interpersonal, communication, networking and negotiating skills with a passion for children’s literature and literacy, an awareness of the current National Curriculum for England and a clear understanding of the role of reading in improving children’s life chances. Proven ability to manage teams within operational delivery and drive organisational performance, in addition to excellent time management, ICT, problem solving, and organisational skills are essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on challenges and who wants to work as part of a supportive and expert team to develop the Education Library Service ensuring its long term sustainability. The post is part of Inspire’s senior management team and contributes to the development of Inspire.
